Vision and Values

We have 5 school trauma-informed values which underpin our school mission statement and act as both a supportive, progressive framework for our children and young people and as guiding principles for our staff. The 5 values tell the story of how we work with our children at Educate U, to our children and families. The values also sit alongside Maslow’s Hierarchy of Need, in understanding what barriers children and young people need to overcome to allow for learning to take place.

Vision 2025-2027

  • Empower Every Learner Through an Inclusive, Personalised Curriculum
We will ensure a well-sequenced, ambitious curriculum is securely embedded across all subjects and year groups, tailored to each pupil’s individual needs and ability. Through continuous curriculum refinement and development, including enhanced access to science, we will empower all learners with knowledge, skills, and meaningful opportunities.
  • Strengthen Wellbeing, Behaviour, and Personal Development for Life Readiness
We will create a culture of safety and trust, where all pupils with SEND access rich, planned personal development experiences and attend regularly. Pupils will be supported to develop positive behaviours and attitudes through a trauma-informed, whole-school approach that nurtures respect and contributions to the community.
  • Lead with Integrity and Accountability to Achieve Outstanding Provision
We will build leadership capacity, hold leaders to account, and ensure compliance with all Independent School Standards through robust systems and training. By working collaboratively across the school and wider region, we will raise our profile and ensure every stakeholder is confident in the school’s journey towards excellence.
