Child-centred Provision

  • We have a completely child-centred approach to learning, therapies and individual pathways.
  • We have exceptionally small class sizes (average of 6 children per class) and an exceptionally high ratio of adults to students.
  • Incredibly well-trained staff force at all levels, not just our teachers but our teaching assistants, our youth workers, ELSAs and the office and therapy staff. All of our staff undertake training in attachment, trauma, therapeutic language frameworks e.g. PACE,
  • Incredible therapeutic team offering art psychotherapy, reflexology, yoga and mindfulness.
  • Our drive for connection and nurture gives the school a more informal feel which reduces children’s anxieties.

  • Nurture extends beyond the students and staff have a huge well-being programme in place for them.
  • Incredible central location with access to the beach and the South Downs as well as the town centre for fantastic out-of-classroom experiences.
